The Lamborghini Urus is an upcoming super-luxury sport utility vehicle. The name looks kind of awkward, especially for those who lack an Italian accent, but the Urus follows Lamborghini's typically aggressive naming convention: Like most Lamborghini vehicles, it's an homage to a type of bull, specifically, a breed from Spain. And even though there was a big announcement in January of 2014 about the Urus' official production schedule, Lamborghini first revealed the Urus (in concept form) at the 2012 Beijing Auto Show -- nearly two years earlier. Brand representatives said then they expected the Urus to sell at a rate of about 3,000 vehicles per year, although they hadn't yet made the definite decision to produce it. Lamborghini chose to reveal the Urus in China because, at the time, economists and auto industry experts predicted that by as early as 2015, demand for luxury sport utility vehicles in the Chinese market would grow by nearly 50 percent.
Third, sound is a vibration that travels through a medium, like a gas, a liquid or a solid object. A sound's source is an object that moves or changes shape very rapidly. For example, if you strike a bell, the bell vibrates in the air. As one side of the bell moves out, it pushes the air molecules next to it, increasing the pressure in that region of the air. This area of higher pressure is a compression. As the side of the bell moves back in, it pulls the molecules apart, creating a lower-pressure region called a rarefaction. The bell then repeats the process, creating a repeating series of compressions and rarefactions. Each repetition is one wavelength of the sound wave. The sound wave travels as the moving molecules push. Pull the molecules around them. Each molecule moves the one next to it in turn. Without this movement of molecules, the sound could not travel, which is why there is no sound in a vacuum.|Imagine having to do the work of a jackhammer using a sledgehammer or a pickaxe, and you'll quickly understand how important this one machine is to the construction industry. Concrete, asphalt and rock are hard -- sometimes really hard -- to work with. Thanks to that toughness, roads and building foundations last for decades. But when rebuilding or mining projects require removing these unyielding substances, a sledgehammer just isn't enough. That's when jackhammers come in handy. T-shaped jackhammers are among the most iconic, fearsome and ear-shattering tools on construction and demolition sites. Because they combine two fundamental human hand tools (a hammer and a chisel) in one mechanized body, they are also one of the most useful. We could always go back to the old way -- using heavy-headed sledgehammers -- but there probably aren't enough chiropractors in the world to keep construction workers' backs aligned. Plus, sledgehammers are achingly slow.
Instead, it will be built into a tough but pliable fabric frame. Even the screen will able to bend and fold and will have a thickness and flexibility similar to a laminated sheet of paper. Furthermore, how could it be predicted to hit the market in just a few years? Experts say it will be available in 2 to 10 years. Find out why this technology really is right around the corner and why some of its seemingly futuristic features aren't actually so different from what's being offered by products available on the market today. Keep reading to learn how a computer could be built within a flexible fabric frame instead of a more traditional rigid metal housing. Conventional computer hard disk drives are large and bulky, but flash memory, common today in memory sticks and cameras, is a possible lightweight alternative for memory storage in the laptops of tomorrow. To understand how a laptop computer could be designed to be flexible, let's first consider why conventional laptops aren't flexible.
Electrotactile stimulation is a higher-tech method of receiving somewhat similar (although more surprising) results, and it's based on the idea that the brain can interpret sensory information even if it's not provided via the "natural" channel. The brain then recreates the images from analysis of the impulse patterns. The multiple channels that carry sensory information to the brain, from the eyes, ears and skin, for instance, are set up in a similar manner to perform similar activities. All sensory information sent to the brain is carried by nerve fibers in the form of patterns of impulses, and the impulses end up in the different sensory centers of the brain for interpretation. To substitute one sensory input channel for another, you need to correctly encode the nerve signals for the sensory event and send them to the brain through the alternate channel. The brain appears to be flexible when it comes to interpreting sensory input. You can train it to read input from, say, the tactile channel, as visual or balance information, and to act on it accordingly.|This 2006 shot of Blood Falls shows the reddish water seeping from the falls into Lake Bonney. Check out the tent in the bottom left corner to get an idea of just how large Blood Falls is. If you were to say that the blood-red color of an Antarctic waterfall was only the second most interesting thing about it, it might be hard to take you seriously. After all, one look at Blood Falls and you're probably pretty focused on the horrifying "Carrie" prom scene nestled in the ice of Taylor Glacier. You're not looking for much else to catch your eye. But while that horror scene hue undoubtedly pulls you in, scientists have now figured out the source of the pigmentation - and it's arguably more fascinating than the ghoulish falls itself. When geologist and all-around adventurer Thomas Griffith discovered the geological wonder back in 1911, the prevailing idea was that a type of algae was causing the distinctive red bloom of water, sort of like the harmful algal blooms, or red tides, that have been known to plague Florida's Gulf Coast. However, a 2003 analysis found that it was actually high levels of iron - turned to rust in the water - that tinged the water so distinctively. But this presented another mystery: Scientists weren't sure where the salty, iron-laden liquid water was coming from that fed the waterfall. This discovery is particularly interesting because it confirms that flowing water can persist inside a glacier as cold as Taylor, something researchers weren't sure was possible. How the heck can liquid water exist in a clearly freezing glacier? It's actually the process of freezing that keeps it moving. As water freezes, it releases heat that can melt the ice around it. Add in some salty water that freezes at a lower temp, and you have flowing water in a glacier.
It is called internal endometriosis, in another way, adenomyosis. It can also be the cause of infertility, but only in much neglected cases and more often in combination with a thin endometrium. Here adenomyosis is already quite clearly visible on ultrasound, but for the final confirmation of the diagnosis a hysteroscopy is necessary. No kind of endometriosis is a contraindication to IVF. What to do with it? It depends on your plans. I'll explain better by examples. If you have suffered infertility for 2 years and you are young and after laparoscopy, external genital endometriosis and endometrioid cyst are confirmed, then you need: first option - burn foci, remove cyst and try to become pregnant during at least 6 months in the natural way and if pregnancy does not occur then proceed with IVF. The second option is to cauterize the foci and be treated with buserelin (or another GnRH agonist) for 4-6 months, then try to get pregnant during at least 6 months. If pregnancy does not occur, do IVF. If you are 35 years old, then the second option is unacceptable. If pregnancy does not interest you, but you are concerned about pain and profuse menstruation you can treat endometriosis with hormonal medications. Treatment options for infertility associated with endometriosis vary from case to case but most fertility specialists believe that surgery is preferable to pharmacological treatment for endometriosis.
