I?ve been thinking about the pros and cons of using hardware tokens versus software tokens for two-factor authentication (2FA). Hardware tokens seem more secure since they?re physical devices, but software tokens, like those generated on smartphones, seem more convenient. What?s everyone?s experience with these? I?m trying to decide which would be better for securing sensitive work accounts. Does anyone have real-world examples of using one over the other?
